FRIDAY: Matka lake and Skopje, the capital
08:30 Departure from Ohrid and long distance drive to Skopje, with one coffee stop.
11:30 Arrival at Matka valley. A lot of possibilities here to escape from the city life – you can take a boat trip to the entrance of cave Vrelo or alternatively, hop aboard a kayak or raft and see the canyon by water. Or simply you can walk along the lake and enjoy the nature.
In the afternoon arrival in Skopje and walking tour with local guide.
Evening at leisure and overnight in Skopje.
SATURDAY: Day tour to Kosovo
Day tour to visit so called, “the youngest European country”. Kosovo border is less than 30 minutes
from Skopje city center. You will have a chance to visit the Kosovo capital – Pristina,
the picturesque town of Prizren and the unique Orthodox church at Grachanica village.
Pristina – the capital and largest city of Kosovo, also is the administrative center of the country.
Optional visit to the Ethnology museum (entrance fee apply). The picturesque town of Prizren, with its old bazaar, possibility to visit Sinan Pasha mosque. And for those who like light hike, possibility to climb to the Prizren fortress with nice view to the valley.
Drive back to Skopje via mountain road across Shara park (subject of weather conditions)
Back to Skopje in the evening. Overnight in Skopje
SUNDAY: Vodno, Stobi and Tikvesh wine region
09:00 Tour starts with visit to nearby mountain Vodno and St. Panteleimon monastery at village Nerezi
11:00 Drive on the main motor way to the central part of the country where Tikvesh wine region is situated.
12:00 Stop and visit to the biggest ancient site in Macedonia – Stobi, dating from 1st century AD.
Well preserved mosaics surrounded by remains of Roman palaces are “must see” of this site.
13:30 Arrival at Royal winery Queen Maria in Tikvesh wine region which story begins back in 1927.

16:00 Departure towards Bitola. Upon arrival accommodation and evening at leisure in Bitola.
MONDAY Bitola and Galichica NP
09:00 Morning walking tour in Bitola, the second biggest town in Macedonia.
11:00 Visit to Heraclea Lynkestis anceint site near Bitola.
13:00 Departure towards the second biggest lake in Macedonia, Prespa lake, with coffee stop.
Later on drive across Galichica NP, with spectacular views of both Prespa and Ohrid lakes.
16:00 Arrival at St. Naum monastery complex, with its unique church, originally built by St. Naum in 9th century. Free time for visit to the monastery or to have an unforgettable 40 minutes boat ride above the springs of Black Drim river (entrance fee and boat fee apply – to be paid on the spot)
Arrival in Ohrid early in the evening, after drive along the lake.
